to Ralph and Mildred (Esseltine) Boyd. Claress had many interests, including gardening and working crossword puzzles, and was a NASCAR and golf fan. She loved her grandchildren very much. Surviving are a daughter and a son, Shelley (Bill) Forbes of Allegan and Charles (Ronda) Bass, Jr. of Fountain, CO; six grandchildren, Timothy and Benjamin Campbell, Charlie and Alexander Bass and Molly and Mike Forbes; a sister, Marilyn (Rodney) Poff of Blytheville, AR; a brother-in-law, Garrett VanderMolen of Kalamazoo; many nieces and nephews including a special niece, Jane Marie Bass; and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Bass in 1992; her parents; a sister, Patricia and a brother, James. The family expresses their warm thanks to Tendercare of Westwood for their loving care and compassion. In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial luncheon will be held at a later date. Contributions in memory of Claress may be made to Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes.
