Chuck will always be in my memory as being so calm when I confessed I hit the back of Chuckie’s truck knocking the brake light out because the next week at school he had fixed it and with lime green paint noted I had done it! He was so mischievous!

Thinking of all of you!

There was on car that I thing every one in there neighbor’s owned at one time or another. Chuck was the last one to own it as one winter Icey day he put it in a ditch and bent it in three ways. He was not Hirt. Everyone one was sad to see the car was gone. We all are sad one our

I met Chuck at Menasha. I worked in the power plant and he worked in Paperland, that’s what I called it.

Such a good man. Smart, funny, nice.

Never realized he was an instructor at Shelps Resort. I was one of the kids waiting at the Allegan Street School for the school bus to take us to Pine Lake for swim and life saving classes.

When we arrived at Shelps Resort, we had to pay an admission price. A nickel. The good ole days.

Sure everyone that knows him has a lot of great memories. He will be missed

Judy, Chuck Jr., and Jamie. Chuck was a great neighbor and better friend. To some he had a grumpy exterior at times but his heart felt feelings for others far out weighed any grumpiness he ever showed. I would often greet him at “Our Table” with “hi” you old curmudgeon and he would smile and come back with some crack about me being an “Old Fart” or look at me and rub his nose with his favorite finger. He had a smile that was truly sincere but he also had an “impish” one that made you wonder what he was thinking or what was he up to. I knew Chuck for at least 15 years and I wish I could have known him better and longer. Seems like he was always “beefing up” his 55, so much so I never got ride in it. Chuck was one of a kind and will be truly missed.

It was a true Honor and privilege for me to be able to honor him for his service to our wonderful country and be a part of his celebration of life. Till we meet again my dear friend Rest in Peace.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Moore family for their loss. We first knew Charlie through his employment with Menasha, later on by his visits to Four Roses. He was always very friendly, and we really enjoyed his unique sense of humor (along with knowing when they had a stash of morel mushrooms). Charlie was definitely an original “character”, one who made life just a bit better whenever he was around. He will be truly missed.
