All my thoughts and prayers to the family. She was my bus driver for many years. She was a very good driver, she was patient with us, and would always listen if you needed someone to talk to. I am grateful to her for her dedication to the job and to her students. She will be missed.

Just hearing her name again brought a smile to my face! Mrs. Steinberg was my bus driver, I thought she was great even then. She was tough as nails and sweet as pie. I don’t think there was a better behaved bunch of bus kids then Mrs. Steinberg’s. Just thinking of her makes me smile and giggle. My dad was a mechanic at the bus garage (not sure if it had anything to do with it) and I was Mrs. steinberg’s last stop and I always got candy!

I loved how she snapped her gum, I tried forever to do the same but rarely could I do it, I remember how she let us move to the back of the bus so when we went over a certain part of a certain part of a certain road we’d bounce way up in our seat.

I got married, had a daughter, and bought the house I grew up in. When my daughter started school she had the same bus stop as I did as a kid, when the bus pulled up to a stop and the doors opened I couldn’t believe my eyes it was Mrs. Steinberg!!!

I am so very sorry for your loss but please know I thought she was great and she left a forever wonderful memory with me.
