Arlene P. Magierka, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and devoted member of her community, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026, at Beacon Hospital in Kalamazoo. Born on November 26, 1948, in Kalamazoo, she was the cherished daughter Arlon and Dorothy (Shattuck) Gren.
A proud graduate of Otsego High School in 1966, Arlene dedicated much of her life to the care and well-being of others. She managed Magic Market in Otsego and also worked at D Ave Fuel Plaza for Ridderman Oil. Additionally, she lent her nurturing spirit to daycare work, where her loving nature shone brightest. Those who knew her well remember Arlene not only for her professional dedication but also for her profound love of caring for children.

Her passion extended to the kitchen, where she found joy in cooking and baking. An enthusiast of ancestry, Arlene took pleasure in exploring her family’s heritage and eagerly sharing her discoveries with all her loved ones.
Among her most treasured accomplishments, Arlene was a devoted mother and grandmother. She spent many loving years with her husband Thomas, who she married at the Otsego Church of God, in 1967.
Arlene is survived by her husband, and her children Sondra (Charles) Dalton of Otsego and Jennifer (Joe) Delaphiano of Orangeville. Her grandchildren, Megan, Danyelle, Alexis, and Brayden. Arlene is also survived by her siblings Marlon (Carol) Gren, Jeannie Aukerman, Kathy (Scott) Damron, and Chris Anson, along with several nieces, nephews, and many other extended family members who will remember her warmth and kindness.
