Woody passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at U of M Health West in Wyoming. 

He was born October 25, 1947, in Greenup County, Kentucky, the son of Ruben and Exie (Barker) Justice. Woody proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. For over 20 years he worked at Kono’s Inc. in Martin, until his retirement in 2015. 

Woody was a life member of the VFW Post #3030 and enjoyed fishing and gardening. A true family man Woody loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also liked following baseball, basketball and football and watching Westerns. On November 2, 1984, in Allegan, he married Linice Pence who survives. 

Also surviving are his children, Jeff (Angel) Justice, JayCee (Jay) Raab, Bill (Jaime) Justice and Rebecca (Zach) Moored; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; siblings, Loretta Whitmore, Linda Whitmore and Bob (Jaye) Justice; brothers-in-law, Jack Powell and Dick Johnson; sister-in-law, Janice (Mike) Cooper along with several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Janice and Nancy; sister-in-law, Barbara and brothers-in-law, Robert, Sonny and Henry.

According to his wishes cremation has taken place. 

Friends may visit with Woody’s family starting at 10:00 A.M., Saturday January 17, 2026, at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego, until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Rick Scheibe officiating. 

Private family burial of ashes will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery at a later time.
