
Mary passed away at home November 26, 2022.
She was born August 27, 1930 to Jacob Edward Blaxton and Mary Elizabeth (Letson) Blaxton. She married Wollie James Bumgart on April 30, 1948 and later moved to Michigan. Mary loved to read, color in coloring books, needle point and crochet. She returned to Alabama after the death of her husband and later returned to care for her beloved daughter, Katherine until her death. She lived with her daughter and son-in-law until her death.
Mary was the last survivor of nine siblings. Surviving are her daughter, Joan (Clarence) Gregory and son, Michael (Lori) Bumgart. A devoted granddaughter, Nicole, granddaughters, Andrea and Michelle and grandsons, Cody and Mike. Eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Two sisters-in-law, Dorothy and Fayanne Bumgart of Alabama and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit with Mary’s family starting at 10:00 A.M., Friday, December 2, 2022, at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego, until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Ray Brown officiating.
Burial will follow at Mountain Home Cemetery in Otsego.
Contributions in memory of Mary may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Centrica Care Navigators.
