
Marion passed away Friday, September 16, 2022, at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo.
She was born January 24, 1931 in Allegan, the daughter of Clarence and Beatrice (Johnson) Ely. For several years Marion worked at Kazoo Incorporated. In her free time she enjoyed traveling, playing cards, knitting, flower gardening and watching her grandchildren. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Otsego. On April 14, 1950 she married Richard Lyon who passed away in 1992.
Surviving are her children, Deborah Froelich of Otsego, Kathy (Ernie) Phelps-Rusche of Petoskey, Richard Lyon II of Otsego and Benjamin (Renee) Lyon of Kalamazoo; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Daniel Ely of Paw Paw along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son-in-law, Richard Froelich; granddaughter, Marcia Froelich and siblings, Norma, Clare and Pete.
According to her wishes cremation has taken place.

So sorry to hear of Marion’s passing. Had a great time with her in Gulf Shores Ala. one winter. Remember her from First Congregational Church. A wonderful cheerful lady. Will miss her.
