
Luella passed away, Sunday, November 6, 2022 at Life Care Center in Plainwell.
She was born May 9, 1939 in Sykesville, Pennsylvania, to William and Kathryn (Martin) Guthrie. Luella enjoyed taking care of her home and children. She was a great cook and a mom to all of her children’s friends. In her free time she enjoyed driving around with her girlfriends, reading and playing bingo.
Surviving are her children, Brad (Julie) Eshbaugh of Otsego, Cindy Castaneda of Otsego and Linda (Bill) Henderson of Vicksburg; 6 grandchildren, Kevin Slater, Andrew Eshbaugh, Miguel, Manuel and Marcos Castaneda and JD Henderson; 5 great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Matt Eshbaugh; son-in-law, David Castaneda and siblings, Norman “Pudge” Guthrie and Phyllis Guthrie.
According to her wishes cremation has taken place.
Contributions in memory of Luella may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
