I’ve been June’s veterinarian for 30 years and I’ve grown to know her as a loving, kind hearted genuine lady. She adored her family two and four-legged aliike. We have lost a most positive influence on the character of our community.
I have had a most fortunate opportunity to visit June on a regular basis for the last couple of years and we spent that time sharing memories and photos. I brought my little Yorkypoo, Pookie, to visit her each time. Pook saw the kindness in June‘s face immediately as I did. After our first visit Pookie knew exactly where to go to find June to lay on her lap, give her a kiss and go to sleep with a smile. We will miss you dearly our wonderful friend.
Dawn and family, I and my family extend our hearts and deepest sorrow for the loss of a great lady!

    Love,
    Bill

  18. Saundra Lamb Goff says:

June was one of my classmates from the class of “58”. Since her last name was Lent and my last name was Lamb and we were often seated alphapetically it was only natural that June and I would become friends. So many good times in school and even after we graduated. We were out of touch for many years but renewed our frienship at class reunions. This past August was our 60 year reunion and while June was unable to attend I did go to visit her in the nursing home the following week and shared pictures of our classmates with her. When I first arrived it took her a while to remember me but once she did she shouted my name, opened her arms for a hug and we spent a half hour talking. While she sometimes would ask me something that she had already asked due to her illness, I will never forget that just as I was leaving she said “Hey, we sure had some good times”. I turned and looked at her, she had a big smile on her face and I said “We sure did”. June, may you rest in peace.

Dawn, i am so sad to hear that you have lost your mom. She was such a sweet, caring, funny lady. I remember many good times at your house when we were teenagers. She always welcomed all of us into your home and made us feel like we were part of the family. She always made me feel loved like i was part of the family. Many times i would catch her at the grocery store after that. We would always stop and chat for sometimes a half hour or more catching up and reminiscing about all the fun us girls would have. She never forgot anything! She would tell stories of things that happened that i had forgotten about. Secure always brought a smile up my face!

I know that losing your mom is one of the hardest things to handle. But you have some great memories to always bring a smile to your face once the tears stop. She will always be with you in your heart. Give me a call when things settle, let’s get together and share some memories.
