John passed away, Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at his home under Hospice care.
He was born June 26, 1938 in New Washington, Ohio, the son of John and Erna (Keebler) Fry. His early life was spent on his family farm as the youngest and only boy of 5 children. John graduated from Buckeye Central High School in 1955. He proudly served his country in the Army National Guard. He worked for Menasha/USG for 35 years until his retirement in 2013.
John was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan much to the chagrin of his children. He loved fishing, traveling and time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Farming was his passion and it never left his soul, he held farmers in great regard. On May 31, 1968 he married Nancy Deaton who survives.
Also surviving are his daughter, Debbie (Fry) Kruse; grandchildren, Kris Kruse, Lexi (Mark) Esterline, Curtis Moss, Brent Moss, Donna Fry and Jennifer (Travis) Streich; great-grandchildren; Harper, Olivia, Jett, Madison, Logan, MacKenna, Cole, Carlie and Cam; daughter-in-law, Cindy Fry along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, beloved sons, John E. Fry and Robert Allan Fry and by his siblings.
According to his wishes cremation has taken place.
A memorial will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, September 16, 2023, at the Otsego District Public Library.

Sorry for your loss. I know Chuck would send his regrets if he was still alive. We always liked running into John and Nancy when we were out to eat.
