Janis A. Zimmerman of Otsego, MI passed away Friday, April 22, 2022 at her home in Otsego. She was born September 4, 1934 in Detroit, the daughter of Robert and Clara (McFarland) Fry. Janis enjoyed reading and collecting antiques. She was an active member of the Crystal Club for many years.
On November 21, 1952 she married Herman Zimmerman who survives. Also surviving are her children, Sharon (Harold) Dufon, Douglas Zimmerman and Bruce (Cynthia) Zimmerman; grandchildren, Melissa (Jim) Weinert, Jason (Kristina) Thompson, Amanda (Rob) Beckett, Ashley Reedy, Scot (Ashley) Zimmerman, Katie (Justin) Storbeck, Jocelyn (Brice) Jenkins, Morgan Zimmerman and Colleen (Russell) Cerda; 17 great-grandchildren with another due soon; sister, Judith Ross of Kalamazoo along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may visit with Janis’ family starting at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego, until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Dan Minor officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain Home Cemetery in Otsego.
