Helen Morozik Jarosz, 70, of Allegan, MI, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 12, 2021.
Helen was born on January 3, 1951, in Belarus, the daughter of Walter Morozik and Maria (Wasiuk) Morozik. At the age of 6 she moved to Poland because of the War. Poland is where she spent her primary and secondary years. After high school, Helen pursued a degree in chemistry. She had always dreamed of coming to the US, and at the age 21 a strong, ambitious, woman, made that dream a reality.
Helen established residence in Chicago, IL where she studied at Wright College and began working. Through mutual friends she met Leopold Jarosz, whom she married on Feb 26, 1977 in Chicago IL. Shortly after marriage, they established roots in Gobles, Michigan where Helen achieved her next major accomplishment – becoming and being a wonderful mother to three beautiful children. Helen kept quite busy as a homemaker as she was always involved with her children’s busy lives and school activities. Aside from her children and grandchildren her other passions were church, gardening, sewing, arts & crafts, and cooking -specializing in Polish food. Helen often spoke of opening her own restaurant specializing in baked goods.
Family came first and was one of the most important aspects in her life. Helen was wise beyond her years and always offered up good advice to those that she loved and that were close. Her wishes to all of her friends and family: stay together, be happy, and stay safe. And final words of advice to everyone: Find God! Find peace! Find love! Don’t go to bed angry!
Loved ones that will miss Helen until they meet again are her husband Leopold; daughter Catherine and son in law Ethan (granddaughter Olivia); son Eric (granddaughter Reece); and son Michael and fiancé Paige Vanlangevelde (grandson Mason and granddaughter Madelyn). Helen was fiercely dedicated to her children and grandchildren. Helen is also survived by her mother Maria Morozik of Poland.
Loved ones that cleared the path for Helen are her brother Richard Morozik and sister, Donna Morozik, father, Walter of Poland and Uncle Edwin Zolik of Sarasota, FL.
A Catholic mass/celebration of life for Helen will be held at a later date in June at St. Margaret’s Church in Otsego, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Systems Atrophy Coalition (MSA) in honor of Helen.

Dear Catherine & Family,
We are very sorry, knowing that we cannot take away the sadness that surrounds you after losing your mother. If you look to our Lord in Heaven, He is the only One who can comfort & heal your heart. Your mom is there with Him and she is at peace.
We lost our close and very dear friend of over 40 years. Our best memories are of when Helen & Paul invited us for summer vacations to their home in Michigan. They were so generous and kind, real friends.
We will never forget these wonderful times and Helen’s joyful personality♡
We are praying for peace in and amongst your family. Peace from above, which will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
