Dennis Allan Willover Sr., age 67, of Martin MI was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 12, 2022. Born January 16, 1955 to Robert “Archie” and Helen Willover of Otsego MI.
Dennis was a loving husband, proud father and papa; a true protector and leader. Selfless to his core, never afraid to give difficult advice, would rush calmly into any emergency, and drop whatever he was doing to offer help. He was truly a man that would give the shirt off his back, and not only to his family and friends, but to anyone in need. He was as tough as they come, though had a kind and gentle spirit, and always remained unapologetically himself.
He excelled at nearly everything he did. His God-given talents led him to enjoy taking up numerous hobbies and meeting many people along the way. Dennis had a deep appreciation for life, wouldn’t pass up a thrilling opportunity, and loved spending time with family and longtime friends.
He was always known for his love for the outdoors, as he found both peace and excitement hunting, fishing and simply spending time in nature. It was there where he would often speak about feeling the closest to God. Dennis was a strong man of faith and had an unwavering courage in proclaiming his faith and love in God and Jesus Christ. He never shied away from an opportunity to witness to those around him and would always talk about his longing desire to reach more hearts and minds.
When we think about Dennis, everyone knew him as the same man; an energetic storyteller, a knowledgeable teacher, a selfless and loving man, and a God-fearing man. His reach into the many people’s lives along his life’s journey was far and wide, and it left many with very unique memories of who he was to them. He was special to many people and in many different ways.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Lori; children Dennis (Danielle) Willover Jr. and Ashley (David) Roeske; grandchildren Ambreanna, Brayden, Owen, Calliah, Ethan and Elizabeth. He also leaves behind his brother Mike, many nieces and nephews, numerous close friends, and his brothers and sisters by marriage whom he deeply loved.
Cremation has taken place.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 P.M., Sunday, May 22, 2022, at North Point Church in Plainwell.
Memorial contributions for Dennis may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Ronald McDonald House.

Oh so so sorry to hear about the passing of Dennis. I grew up with Dennis we were the kids from the other side of town. Dennis was always fun to hang around with we were either riding our bikes playing baseball going fishing our just hanging around together in his house. We got our first jobs together as paperboys I often reminisce about the good old days and Dennis is in my memories. He will be missed. God speed old friend. Your friend Ken.

To Dennis’ family, I’m so sorry for your loss. I went to high school with Dennis and we were both baritone players in the band. Sitting next to him was never boring. He was cracking us up or telling a story. Listening to Dennis whistle every note of any song was amazing. He was a sweet man and I know he’ll be missed.

What a character Dennis was… I have many memories of Dennis and the Banks boys , Kevin and my brother Donnie Pfau being such characters.

Dennis was a fun loving guy and a great ” remember when” story teller.
I am terribly saddened by the news of his passing .
I wish I had gotten to see him lately, we lived so close. We all think that about our “old” friends and then we lose them without a goodbye. I
am so sorry Dennis I’m saying goodbye this way.
R.I.P. my friend, I will miss ya.
