William D. Veenstra

Bill passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at the Adult Foster Care Home in Galesburg where he had lived for many years.

He was born May 1, 1952 in Kalamazoo the son of William and Alice (Alexander) Veenstra. Bill enjoyed watching videos, listening to music and going to church. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was a very genuine and simple man.

Surviving are his sister, Linda (Gary) Veenstra-Price of Galesburg; niece, Charity; nephew, David; several great nieces and nephews; aunt and uncle, Doris and Jim Brown; many cousins along with his caregivers, Deb Mitchell and Debby Young.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

According to his wishes cremation has taken place.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 11am at the Encounter Church (formerly the Plainwell Assembly of God) with Pastor David Alderman officiating.
