Norma Couk

Norma L. Couk of Plainwell, Michigan, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2012 in Plainwell. Mrs. Couk was born January 13, 1923, in Plainwell to Harlo and Helen (Price) Perry. For 17 years she was employed as a Librarian Assistant at Parchment Schools, retiring in 1978. In her leisure time Norma enjoyed knitting, crocheting, ceramics, family history and organizing pictures and email on her computer.

On November 20, 1948 at the First Baptist Church of Plainwell she married Charles Couk, Jr., who died in 2011. She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Sherman and Karen Couk of Vicksburg; five grandchildren, Emily (Wes) Kilian, Becky (Jeremy) Toth, Corey (Kristin) Couk, Kevin Couk and Nathan Couk; four great-grandchildren and another on the way; sisters, Elaine Keith and Charleen Perry; brother, John (Dawn) Perry.

Friends may visit with her family from 6 to 8 P.M. Monday, November 5, 2012, at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 A.M., Pastor Greg Bishop officiating. Burial will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Norma may be made to Life Care Center of Plainwell or Wings of Hope Hospice. Messages of condolence may be posted at
