  6. Jeremy Rogers says:

Lee was a really good father in law to me, and we both shared a passion for sports, especially how we liked all the Detroit teams, also how we talked about how they all needed to get they’re acts together lol… I will always remember him, and how he knew more about sports than anyone i ever met, but also how he knew alot about life, and we talked about the Lord, and he knew that this life was short, but also he knew that there is life after this because he knew Jesus, and I’m so glad he did!

  7. Ruby Rogers says:

Goodbyes are not forever, you seen his hand reach for yours, you proable hesitated at first, but took your last final breath as you heard him whisper follow my footprints as i have carried you, you walk the the valley and see the light unto the path as you enter the gates a tear drops and he wipes it away as you see all that went before you and rejoice in him that you made it and feel the new body you have and see the loved ones that went ahead of you.
    To my stepdad and papa~
We love you so much. You were a tough man but showed so much love, i wouldnt be the woman i am now if you didnt teach me the values and standards in life. You left to soon to us but God knew it was your time, little man misses you so much and ceana asked already wheres papa? We explained best we could her reply big puppy eyes papa went night night. Alan will miss the laughter and games you guys played and ceana will miss serving you fake food but they both know your in such a better place.

    Mom,
We love you so much, and we will get through this it may not be today or next week but no matter what hes always tthere in the midst of things with jesus in every day of your life and ours. I cant express enough right now that saying goodbye together meant so much. Hes your true love and will always be. Kisses and hugs.

    Ruby, Jeremy, Alan, & Ceana,

We were so sorry to hear of Lee’s sudden passing. We remember meeting him and your mother at one of Alan’s birthday parties, and really enjoyed talking with him. There were so many things he was interested in or knew about. I was also at one of his amazing garage sales and saw his collection of sports and music videos. Again it was fun talking with him and hearing about his interests.

We are praying for your whole family at this time of loss. God is faithful in all His ways, and He will bring you comfort as you continue to lean on Him.

    Love & Prayers,
    Bob & Phyllis Hogerwerf

  23. wayne hale says:

Great man> never remember him having a bad word for anyone. Played a lot of golf together in high school before he went off to Spring Arbor. Remember being in his dads basement with the big stand-up stereo listening to Tiger games. I lived in Kalamazoo after being married. We drifted apart. Did see him at times at the gas station he managed before the Wal-Mart job. One of my best friends ever. I know he liked coming in to Kalamazoo to go to the baseball games on Mill street. Live close to there. Be thinking of him always; especially on firework nights at the ballpark.

  24. Kathy says:

I worked with Lee for a few years at Wal-Mart. He was a great guy!
