Harry E. McIntyre

Harry E. McIntyre of Kalamazoo, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at his home. Mr. McIntyre was born May 16, 1927 in Sidnaw, Michigan, to Harry and Ethyl (Bennett) McIntyre. For several years he worked in construction at a logging camp in Sidnaw and retired from Georgia Pacific after 33 years of service. Harry enjoyed the out-of-doors, woodworking and his dog Toby. In the spring of 1978 he married the former Ruth Dutton, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter and a son, Sheri Youtzy of Allegan and Robert (Norma) Dutton of Springfield, TN; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; two nieces, Jill and Chris. Harry was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy; his son, Daniel Dutton; two sisters, Mildred McIntyre and Willadean Costen; and two brothers, Floyd ‘Swede’ McIntyre and Fred ‘Windy’ McIntyre. Friends may meet with his family at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego on Friday from Noon until the time of service at 1P.M., with Pastor Don Ray officiating. Interment will be in Mount Ever-Rest Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Borgess VNA and Hospice or the Kidney Foundation
